Volunteer Opportunity: Children's Teacher – Saturday Live Program at Kids Alley
Are you passionate about sharing the love of Jesus with children? Do you have a heart for helping kids grow in their faith in a fun, supportive environment? If so, we invite you to join us as a Children's Teacher for our Saturday Live program at Kids Alley.
Position Overview: As a Children's Teacher, you will lead a group of children in engaging lessons, Bible stories, and activities that reflect our mission to inspire and nurture their spiritual growth. This role is essential in creating a welcoming, consistent, and safe environment where kids can learn about God's love and build positive relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a group of children in lessons, worship, and Bible-based activities.
- Foster an atmosphere of love, respect, and encouragement for every child.
- Collaborate with our program team to ensure lessons align with the provided curriculum.
- Commit to serving at least two times in a month to provide stability and familiarity for the children.
- Participate in any training and preparation sessions as needed.
Requirements:
- A personal and intimate relationship with the Lord actively lived out in daily life.
- Experience working with children, teaching bible study, or mentoring capacity is preferred.
- Ability to effectively communicate and engage with children from diverse backgrounds.
- Must be able to commit to a minimum of two consecutive Saturdays.
- Must request to be onboarded 2 weeks before serving
For volunteers who are new to our team:
- You will be required to meet with our CEO, Brenda Hallahan and the Program Coordinator, Jazmine Brinkley
- Completion of a background check is required for all new applicants.
