Who We Are

Mission: To confront and alleviate the societal shortcomings and personal needs that affect at-risk children.

Kids Alley, founded in 1998, is a nonprofit faith-based organization reaching out to inner-city children and their families with weekly programs in Camden, NJ. As a faith-based organization, we are passionate about meeting the personal needs of at-risk children, youth, and families, ensuring they have the support to grow into thriving adults. Kids Alley continues to build on the strong foundation that was passed on to them by our founder, Vivian Tan, who passed away in 2015. The programs have expanded both in number and in excellence.

What We Do

At Kids Alley, we are dedicated to supporting the whole child, focusing on education, nutrition, recreation, physical fitness, and spiritual growth. We aim to create a nurturing environment where every child has the opportunity to succeed, grow, and flourish into a thriving adult.

We offer three main programs designed to support and enrich the lives of children:

The Kids Alley Learning Center – This after-school program provides homework assistance and educational enrichment for children in Kindergarten through Eighth Grade. Each day, we focus on educational support, provide nutritious snacks, engage in physical fitness and recreational activities, and conclude with Bible devotions to nurture their spiritual well-being.

Kids Alley Summer Camp – Our full-day, five-week summer camp offers a safe and engaging environment for children in Kindergarten through Eighth Grade. The camp includes educational sessions, recreational activities, arts and crafts, and field trips. We strive to expose children to new opportunities and experiences, helping them to see the possibilities that lie ahead.

Saturday Live at Kids Alley – Running from September through June, this program is a lively, family-friendly event held every Saturday from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. It includes a light breakfast, a Bible lesson with practical applications, games, music, and recreation. Saturday Live is a time for children and their families to come together, learn, and enjoy positive, faith-centered activities.
