Empower Run and Walk Event

If you would like to volunteer, please complete the form below to share your volunteering preference and information about yourself including your T-shirt size. All volunteers who respond by August 23rd will be guaranteed a T-shirt.

 

You can also participate as a runner or walker, or serve as a Team Captain. Reach out to us to learn more about starting a team with family, friends, or coworkers. Funds raised will support a pathway to healing for a family or individual in need of help.

Volunteer Roles

Event Set Up – 7:00am start time
 You will help set up tables, tents, chairs, and the event space before the walk begins

Traffic Control – 7:15am start time
 You will help direct participants to the West Picnic Area parking lot or the overflow lot as needed
 You will help place directional signs for cars

Course Control – 7:30am start time
 You will be stationed on the course from before the race starts through the last runner or walker
 You will point runners in the right direction
 You will remind walkers to stay to one side so runners can pass by
 You will cheer people on!

Registration – 7:30am start time
 You will assist with handing out t-shirts
 You will help with giving direction to runners and walkers

Refreshments & Water Station – 7:30am start time
 You will help set up the refreshments area and water station
 You will pass out food and beverages to participants
 You will keep the area neat and clean and assist with disposal of trash

Photo Booth – 7:30am start time
 You will help participants take photos and use the custom props and signs
 You will keep the area organized and encourage people to stop for a photo

Kids Zone – 7:30 start time 
 You will help keep children safe in the playground and Kids Zone area
 You will keep the area neat and help kids play, blow bubbles, etc.

Start & Finish Line – 8:00am start time
 You will help cheer on runners at the start and finish line
