We invite volunteers to lend a hand at Wheaton Wednesday at WheatonArts! Various shifts and activities are available.
Volunteers can choose to assist with (please list your preferred area in the Additional Notes field):
- Children's art activities (either make-and-take table or glass fusing studio)
- WheatonArts information table
- Ticket Monitor in Event Center
- Membership table assistance
- Museum of American Glass greeter
Students and new volunteers:
- Please complete the waiver/permission form attached (students (ages 13-17) MUST HAVE the permission form, signed by their parent/guardian).
- Letters verifying service learning hours volunteered available upon request.
Event Description:
WheatonArts is open late on two special Wednesdays this summer! Experience the grounds with creative activities designed for the entire family from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Highlights include a glass mask design contest in the Glass Studio, glassmaking demonstrations by Alexander Rosenberg, a Community Mural Squares art project, a bilingual book signing with author Lorraine Haddock, free family art activities such as garden rock painting and ceramic mosaics, fee-based glass fusing projects, newspaper basket weaving, a campus-wide scavenger hunt, live music, and more! Wheaton Wednesday dates are FREE to the public, part of WheatonArts Family Days! Presented by PNC Arts Alive!
