We invite volunteers to lend a hand at our first event of the 2026 season, Eco Fair! Various shifts and activities are available.
Volunteers can choose to assist with (please list your preferred area in the Additional Notes field):
- Children's art activities
- Eco Tote Bag Handout
- WheatonArts information table
- Visitor Surveys (afternoon shift only)
Students and new volunteers:
- Please complete the waiver/permission form attached (students (ages 13-17) MUST HAVE the permission form, signed by their parent/guardian).
- Letters verifying hours volunteered for students are available upon request.
Court-Ordered Volunteering:
- We are a verified community service site for Cumberland County. If you need to fulfill court-mandated hours, please let us know when you apply for a shift.
- To volunteer for court-ordered hours, you must fill out a full WheatonArts volunteer application with that box checked and interview with the Volunteer Coordinator before the event date.
Event Description: In partnership with the Authority of Cumberland County, WheatonArts presents the 19th annual ECO Fair, a FREE Family Day event inspired by natural and artful living! ECO Fair, a campus-wide event, features local gardening clubs, including Rutgers Master Gardeners with various plants and herbs for sale, handmade works of New Jersey artists, environmental organizations, Nature Trail tours, eco-friendly activities for families, and more.
This year, CU Maurice River’s Keynote Speaker is Jennifer Brown, and her presentation, “The Glass Flowers at Harvard University: Marvels of Art and Science,” will take place in the Event Center.
Admission to all WheatonArts exhibits and artist studio demonstrations is free and open to the public for the day, part of WheatonArts Family Days presented by PNC Arts Alive!
