The GPH Team supports neighbors and communities throughout the State when disaster strikes. This team meets quarterly to participate in training and learn about updates to recent events. Training is provided by the New Jersey Department of Human Services, Office of Emergency Management.
We are looking for people who have an interest in “stepping up” to lend a hand in opening and operating shelters, feeding people impacted by disasters, distributing emergency supplies and/or working with household pets from impacted communities.
- Assist in various types of disaster operations you are interested in participating in and feel comfortable doing.
- Attend training sessions to a level you feel comfortable working at.
- Participate in annual exercises.
- Participate in quarterly team meetings (virtual or in-person).
