The Patriot Fund exists to ensure our Veterans receive the critical services they have earned.  We raise funds and direct them to fully vetted, best-in-class nonprofit partners who are making a meaningful and immediate impact in the lives of Veterans and their families.

To provide funding for the critical services Veterans deserve to ensure their lifelong needs are sustained.  We fully vet and only support Best In Class partners who impact the lives of Veterans – TODAY.

Our Purpose:

The Patriot Fund Inspires through “Stories of Impact” spotlighting serious issues facing our Veteran Community.  Motivates them to provide support through The Patriot Fund where we Perform accountable due diligence to find the best Operational Partners making an impact on Veterans and their Families TODAY!

Our History:

Plans for the organization began in 2014 when Todd Sherman and Major General (Ret) Steven Hashem decided to take action on their shared interest in supporting the brave service members who protect and defend our great country.  Major General Hashem served in the U.S. Army for 41 years.  Growing up, Todd planned to serve in the Military but was unable to fulfill his lifelong dream due to a medical condition and longed for a way to serve.  Both have seen firsthand what the effects of war can be on local Veterans and their families.  After The Patriot Fund’s successful “seed event” in 2015, they decided to make a commitment by creating The Patriot Invitational in 2016. The event raised over $100,000 in its first year and the rest is history.

Get Involved:

We are seeking passionate volunteers who believe in supporting Veterans and want to be part of a mission that’s driving real results.  We’re always open to volunteers who can help us connect with new donors, grow awareness, or contribute professional skills like marketing, event planning, or technology support.

The Patriot Fund serves Veterans of all ages and backgrounds, from all branches of the military, and at all stages of post-service life.  We believe that the war doesn’t end when our Veterans return home.  We owe them more than a handshake or a parade.  We owe them support systems, healing pathways, second chances, and communities that understand the value of their sacrifice.

Whether it’s helping someone get off the street and into safe housing; supporting Gold Star Families; providing service dogs, job readiness training, mental health and wellbeing, or any of a whole host of transitional services, our goal is to get the great people already doing this important work the funding they often struggle to find, and empower them to sustain and amplify their impact.
