The Oxx Foundation is seeking a dependable and organized Administrative Support Volunteer to help with the behind-the-scenes tasks that keep our programs, events, and community services moving forward.

The Oxx Foundation supports individuals and families affected by Parkinson’s disease through education, movement, creativity, peer connection, and community outreach.

This volunteer will work closely with the Foundation’s leadership team and play an important role in helping us stay organized and responsive to our community.

Responsibilities may include: 

Assisting with emails, phone calls, correspondence, and appointment schedulingEntering and updating volunteer, donor, sponsor, and program informationPreparing forms, flyers, packets, sign-in sheets, and other materialsOrganizing electronic and paper filesTracking registrations, attendance, volunteer hours, and follow-up tasksHelping prepare thank-you letters and acknowledgmentsSupporting program and event planningCompleting general administrative and organizational projects as needed

Ideal volunteer:

Is dependable, organized, and attentive to detail Communicates professionally and respectfully Is comfortable using email and basic computer programs Can maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information Works independently while also being comfortable asking questions Has administrative or nonprofit experience, although it is not required

Time commitment: Approximately 4 hours per week with flexible scheduling

Location: Hybrid opportunity with remote and in-person work available in Toms River, New Jersey

Age requirement: 18 or older

The Oxx Foundation is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Grant Research & Writing Volunteer to help identify funding opportunities and prepare compelling grant applications that support our growing programs and services.

The Oxx Foundation serves individuals and families affected by Parkinson’s disease through education, movement, creativity, peer connection, and community outreach.

This volunteer will help secure the resources needed to expand our impact throughout Ocean County and surrounding New Jersey communities.

Responsibilities may include:

Researching grants from foundations, corporations, government agencies, and community organizationsIdentifying opportunities that align with our mission and eligibilityMaintaining a calendar of grant deadlines and reporting requirementsGathering application materials and supporting documentationDrafting and editing letters of inquiry, proposals, and grant applicationsAssisting with program descriptions, goals, budgets, and outcome statementsTracking submitted, pending, awarded, and declined applicationsSupporting required grant reports and funder acknowledgmentsCollaborating with Foundation leadership to understand funding priorities

Ideal volunteer:

Has strong research, writing, editing, and organizational skillsCan communicate ideas clearly and persuasivelyPays close attention to instructions and deadlinesIs comfortable working independently and collaborativelyCan maintain confidentialityHas experience with grants, fundraising, nonprofits, communications, or professional writing; however, relevant experience is preferred rather than required

Time commitment: Approximately 4 hours per week with flexible scheduling

Location: Remote or hybrid, with optional in-person collaboration in Toms River, New Jersey

Age requirement: 18 or older
