Our motto is  "To Feed and Clothe the Needy"  All profits from sales fund our Food Pantry located in the back of the building. We service monthly clients, process emergency relief for utilities and provide food and clothing for the homeless of our community. We treat all of our customers with respect and a smile.

A Furniture Store volunteer shall

oversee the intake of donated furniture and decorative items. Items must be priced and placed in the store in an appealing manner. Pictures can be hung.  Lenox or crystal must be placed in a safe but organized display which is pleasing to the eye.   Jewelry will be assessed for value, priced accordingly and displayed.Books (fiction only),record albums, DVDs and CDs will be sorted and shelved.Smile and be helpful. You never know what impact you will make!

Very light cleaning, like running a vacuum may be included in the duties.

Remember that all profits fund our food pantry which serves the 5 communities of the Kingsway Regional School District.  Swedesboro, Woolwich Twp, East Greenwich Twp, South Harrison Twp and Logan Twp.

King's Things Food Pantry is seeking a dependable and compassionate volunteer to serve as a Pickup & Delivery Driver. This important role provides support and backup for our current Pickup and Delivery volunteer and helps ensure that food reaches families and individuals experiencing food insecurity throughout our community.

Responsibilities

• Pick up donated food from our Retail Rescue partners and transport it safely to King's Things Food Pantry.

• Weigh incoming food donations and accurately record donation weights.

• Monitor and record temperatures of frozen and refrigerated food items to ensure food safety compliance.

• Complete required reporting and documentation for the Food Bank of South Jersey.

• Deliver weekly food supplies to local low-income housing projects.

• Pick up food and supply donations from area organizations, businesses, and community partners as needed.

• Assist in maintaining an organized and efficient donation intake process.

Requirements

• Ability to safely lift and carry up to 30 pounds.

• Access to a reliable SUV, minivan, or other large vehicle with a covered storage area.

• Valid driver's license and automobile insurance.

• Dependable, organized, and able to work independently.

• Commitment to treating pantry clients, donors, and community partners with kindness and respect.
