Project Coordinator (PC) – Jersey Cares

Be the leader who turns good intentions into meaningful action. Project Coordinators (PCs) are the backbone of Jersey Cares’ community-based volunteer initiatives. As a PC, you’ll serve as a volunteer leader and ambassador, guiding groups of volunteers through impactful service projects that strengthen New Jersey communities.

This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy leading people, organizing experiences, and making things happen—whether you’re building new skills or bringing leadership experience you already have.

As a PC, you will:

Build leadership & project management skills in a real-world settingDevelop meaningful relationships with nonprofit partners and fellow volunteer leadersAccess Jersey Cares’ Leadership Development Series and ongoing trainingJoin a strong network of volunteers, agencies, and Jersey Cares staff working together for greater impactMake a visible, tangible difference in communities across New Jersey

We’re looking for volunteer leaders who have:

Strong organizational and planning skillsThe ability to lead and motivate teamsEffective communication and interpersonal skillsComfort working independently and taking initiativeRegular access to the internet for project coordination

Leadership experience is helpful—but not required.

We provide training and support every step of the way.

Time Commitment:

Lead at least one project per month, based on your availability and interestsA six-month commitment is preferred (but not required)Attend periodic leadership trainings and bi-monthly webinars

This role is flexible and designed to fit alongside work, school, or other commitments. Lead with Purpose.
